Sam and Ben Donnelly are the Boarding Houseparents and live in the house adjoining Conway. Mrs Trudie Bratt is the Day Houseparent (Mrs Sue Broughton is currently covering Mrs Bratt's maternity leave). This arrangement allows Sam and Ben to concentrate more on the happiness and welfare of the boarders, especially as there are increasing numbers of prep school boarders needing just that little bit more attention. Our matron will be an integral part of the process of making Conway a home, not just another part of the school.
Conway is more homely than ever and we will be continuing to try our utmost to provide the best possible living areas we can. We are hoping that the pupils themselves will become actively involved in this process.
We will endeavour to keep you informed of forthcoming events and activities, which will be posted on the website and on the notice boards in the Conway lobby.
The first Sunday back after the start of the new school year is the Cox Tor walk. This is long standing tradition of the school where new pupils and their parents (and anybody else in the school, for that matter) walk from Kelly College to the top of Cox Tor, usually at a gentle stroll!. It is traditional for new pupils to take a stone from the river in the College grounds and carry it with them to the top of Cox Tor, depositing it on the 'Kelly cairn' there.
Please don't forget the open invitation to Conway for tea and cakes on Friday afternoons at 4.30pm (apart from Exeat weekends). Come and chat to the house staff or just have a natter with the other parents. We would love to see you there, so keep a space in your diary.
