Headmaster

Few things are of greater importance to parents than the education of their children. Choosing the right school for them is therefore a crucial decision.

Our first aim, here at Kelly, is to provide a happy, balanced and challenging environment in which boys and girls can fulfil their individual talents and respect one another as equals.

Kelly is fortunate in the splendour of its setting. It is proud of its heritage and its reputation as a friendly school with a great sense of community and a genuine commitment to the happiness of its pupils. It also believes in maintaining strong links with their homes. Our objective is to provide a lively all-round education based upon first class academic standards, stimulated by small class sizes and individual attention. In parallel, we provide a wide range of cultural, sporting and extra-curricular activities and a chance to exercise responsible leadership within a sensibly disciplined environment.

There are other objectives which cannot be identified precisely in a written document. They can best be defined as the fostering of values for later life. We believe it is of great importance that pupils are made aware of the Christian principles which are the foundation of the school and that they develop a sensitivity to the needs of others.

In short, as well as providing breadth of opportunity and realisation of potential, we believe an individual should be encouraged, wherever possible, to grow in depth. However, even the website can only give a partial impression. That is why the staff and pupils join me in extending an invitation to you to come and see us in action during term time.
