Personal Accident Insurance
A leaflet from HSBC is available outling details of the Pupils Personal Accident Insurance Scheme, which is assumed to be an “opted in” scheme unless you already have personal accident insurance for your child. If you do have such insurance, please send a copy of your policy together with an accompanying letter, requesting us to remove this charge from your child’s account.
BUPA
A leaflet giving details of BUPA Medical Insurance for pupils at the school is available from Registry. If you wish to apply for cover for your child, complete the application form and return to the Bursary before the start of term. Late applications may result in cover being delayed for up to a term. A separate form should be completed for each child. Further leaflets are available from the Bursary.
School Fees Remission Scheme
This is an optional charge payable termly in advance and provides protection against the loss of fees due to absence from College owing to illness or quarantine. Although it does not include absence from school due to acts of terrorism. The Governors cannot entertain applications for the remission of fees to those parents/guardians who do not participate. The terms of the scheme are in the rear of this booklet together with an application form, which should be completed and returned as soon as possible if you would like cover to start at the beginning of the new school year. The charge per term per pupil for participation is: Boarders 1% of termly fee. Day Pupils 1.5% of termly fee.
Textbooks
Form September 2011 the cost of the use of textbooks is no longer charged as an extra.
Supper
Supper for day pupils is charged on a daily basis at a cost of £2.40 per night. Pupils should sign the daily list in the refectory at lunchtime if they require an evening meal.
Flexi-Boarding
Flexi-boarding is charged at £28.00 a night (Bed and Breakfast).
Lunch
Lunch is included in the fees.
Music Lessons
Music lessons are charged in arrears at a rate of £142 per term, per instrument.
A term’s notice must be given if your child no longer wishes to continue with his/her music lessons, otherwise a full term’s charges will apply.
Extra Tuition
Extra tuition is charged at £23 per 40-minute lesson.

CCF Subscriptions
Subscription to the CCF is charged at £20 per term for Fourth to Sixth Form, where relevant. Charges for lost equipment and boots are made separately.
Swim Squad Membership
Details of the cost of membership of the Swim Squad can be obtained from Robin Brew, Director of Swimming.
Art and DT Department Recoverables
Termly charges are are made for DT recoverables based on the projects being undertaken. Further details may be obtained from Mr G Collard, Head of DT.

Pupil’s First Account
For pupils of parents resident in the UK there is a £500 deposit charged on acceptance of a place, refundable against your final account. For pupils from other European Union countries, a deposit of £1,000 is charged and for all other pupils a full term’s fees in advance is required. Again, these are both refunded on the final account.
Damages
Reasonable costs of repair for wilful damage caused to school equipment or property will be added to your child’s account.
ECDL and Log Book
A charge of £80 is payable in three termly instalments of £26.67 in the third form. This charge covers seven examinations through to fifth form for the ECDL qualification.
Old Kelleian Club
When a pupil leaves Kelly he/she becomes a life member of the Old Kelleian Club. The life subscription is £180 and this sum is charged on an “opted” in basis by way of £30 per term for the first six terms. A further £16.00 per term (for six terms) is charged as a subscription to the Old Kelleian magazine.
Additional Charges
The College reserves the right to place additional charges on the bill up to £30 per term for school trips and touring theatre productions etc.
Unless otherwise stated, extras are charged in arrears and depend upon a pupil’s particular interest and parent’s wishes.
